For individuals, we offer an easier way to purchase insurance, from simplified issue to guarantee issue as well as fully customized policies that meet personal needs.

For groups, we meet the needs of employers, associations, governmental agencies, and agents through custom enrollment websites, administrative and TPA services, and fully customizable, simplified and guarantee issue policies. Our proprietary platform supports groups by offering flexible enrollment periods and a variety of enrollment styles, with or without payroll deduction.

How did Surity Select begin?

It started will Bill.

Bill Fjeran has spent over 50 years in the insurance and financial industries, and he wouldn’t trade a single day of it. From his cozy office in Greenville, South Carolina, he built a national business helping people protect and grow their wealth. As a Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF), Bill has a natural talent for numbers and a unique ability to put people at ease. His quick wit and humor make complex financial concepts accessible, often turning stressful conversations into ones that end in laughter, always keeping his clients' best interests at heart.

“This is our first date,” Bill liked to joke with new clients, “No really. It is. You’re sizing me up and I’m sizing you up. We’re both trying to find out if there’ll be a second date.” His clients would laugh, but they also knew they were in good hands. Bill’s ability to blend humor with expertise was a key part of his success.

Despite his success, Bill remained humble, often joking, “Flattery will get you everywhere.” Bill continues to work, meet with clients, and mentor young professionals. His wife, Dana, joked that he’d never retire, and she wasn’t wrong—Bill loved his work too much to ever walk away completely.

Bill has seen over all his years that people don’t pay attention to their benefits until it’s too late. Most people don’t understand their retirement accounts like 401k. It just hasn’t gotten explained to them. Agents typically disappear after the sale. And so, he founded Surity Select and The Strategizer.

Surity Select’s mission was simple: review policies from several companies and products, selecting those that were easy to understand and financially sensible. Instead of overwhelming people with complicated jargon and endless options, Surity Select simplified the process. They handpicked only the best, most straightforward policies, and explained them in a way anyone could grasp.

Through their service, people didn’t have to wait until a crisis hit to figure out if they were covered—they knew from the start. Surity Select became a bridge between everyday people and the complex world of benefits, saving people money and headaches in the process.

Bill smiled as he looked at the growing client list, knowing that Surity Select was solving a problem too many had faced for too long. Through The Strategizer, the company has taken the guesswork out of finances, benefits, taxes, and retirement. The company is making a difference...one family at a time.
